Haters gonna hate on Taylor Swift with wild conspiracy theories, but this time the Pentagon is coming to the pop legend’s rescue to shake it (all) off.

After years of being ‘apolitical,’ Taylor Swift broke her political silence in October 2018 to urge fans to vote Democrat in the key state of Tennessee before a crucial election. The music legend explained in her post why she decided to speak up.

“In the past, I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” the singer said.

While the brave stance of the celebrity definitely helped her win Swifties’ hearts, she gained a few more ‘haters’ as well, who have come up with wild conspiracy theories since then about the hitmaker.

Wild conspiracy theories regarding Taylor Swift made Pentagon respond

Fox News host Jesse Watters recently made an explosive claim, saying Taylor Swift could be “a front for a covert political agenda.”

The 34-year-old celebrity’s influence on fans makes her a perfect candidate, as the host further offers, “around four years ago, the Pentagon’s psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset during a Nato meeting.”

“It’s real. The Pentagon psy-op unit pitched NATO on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for combating misinformation online,” Watters added, showing a video clip of a 2019 conference organized by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence where the hitmaker was named as one of the most powerful influencers.

The Pentagon’s response

The Pentagon found the conspiracy theories serious enough to respond. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told the press, “as for this conspiracy theory, we are going to shake it off.”

“But that does highlight that we still need Congress to approve our supplemental budget request as Swift-ly as possible so we can be out of the woods with potential fiscal concerns,” Singh further added without missing the chance of adding one or two Swift lyrics to gain the fandom’s approval.

Whoopi Goldberg slams Fox News regarding Taylor Swift theory

Movie star Whoopi Goldberg also came out in support of Swift, who slammed Fox News for creating more conspiracy theories.

The Ghost actor said: “There are real issues impacting millions of Americans. This is what the Fox News folks wanted viewers to be worried about during their prime-time broadcast on Tuesday.”
