A Knox County man is in custody after the rescue of multiple animals that were severely malnourished, according to a news release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting investigations into reports of animal neglect and abuse in the Galesburg/Knoxville area. Allegations led Knox County Deputies to an abandoned residence, where it was observed that a dog was locked in a kennel with no food or water and appeared to be very thin, the release says.
