Quest continues for best route to L.A./Florida
About a hundred years ago (give or take a few years), my family and I traveled to Florida beaches and Disney World quite often. Footing the bill, and getting through Mobile on Highway 98, I-65 and I-10, were our biggest challenges. The traffic was awful, and you had to go through a crazy scary tunnel with sharp curves on each end. You couldn’t even enjoy the scenery for watching cars slam on brakes in front of you and hoping that those behind you would back off a little bit. It seemed to take forever to get on the other side of Mobile Bay.
